This cake design was put together with beginners in mind, using easy decorating technique's. Our step by step guides make decorating this cake design simple and achievable for all levels of bakers. 

Cake decorating kit size guide:

Small  (will decorate a 15 cm round double-layer cake)
Large (will decorate a 20 cm round double-layer cake)

Decorating kit upgrade options:

Skip making buttercream from scratch and upgrade your kit with our delicious pre-made icing instead of the standard icing mix. This option is great if you want to save time, with the convenience of a product that is ready to use.

You'll Need

Ingredients: Butter, salt (optional), milk.

Tools: Electric mixer (or hand whisk), large mixing bowl, spatula, knife and measuring cup.

Is this cake kit suitable for beginners?

Absolutely. This kit is specifically designed for beginner bakers, using simple baking and decorating techniques with full photo step-by-step guided instructions.

What sort of quality can I expect? 

We bring our cake decorating expertise to our cake kits, and with that, know what tools work best for beginners. We only supply products that we too use for cake decorating, so you can be assured our products are of the highest quality.

What is the pre-made icing option?

Our pre-made icing is a ready-to-use vegan and gluten-free icing that can be coloured and flavoured. This icing is similar in texture to Swiss meringue buttercream and less sweet than our standard American buttercream recipe. By selecting our pre-made icing option you will no longer require the ingredients to make your buttercream and you won't need to physically make it. You will just need to colour it. This option is great for time-poor parents, those that don't want to make the buttercream for their cake from scratch or those that prefer a silky smooth, less sweet buttercream option.

How early can I purchase my cake kit?

Our kit ingredients last roughly 3-6 months. If your celebration is within 3 months time then you can order your kit now and store it in the pantry until required.

If your celebration is greater than 3 months away, you can still order it now, just make sure you tick the 'extended baking date' box so we know to give you longer lasting ingredients (where possible).

What is the expected delivery timeframe?

Please allow 1-3 business days for your order to be hand packed and dispatched, plus shipping time.

Expected shipping times:

  • Express shipping: 1-4 business days
  • Local delivery: 5 business days
  • International shipping: 7-14 business days
